Kegworth: Declaration of Existing Houses in Multiple Occupation

Closes 5 Feb 2021

Opened 17 Feb 2020

Overview

If you are the landlord of an existing small House in Multiple Occupation (occupied by between 3 and 6 people), we are asking that you declare this to us and provide details of the address of the property and any evidence to show that it is an existing HMO.  This will ensure that we have as much information as possible about existing HMOs in Kegworth before the Article 4 Direction becomes enforceable and will help to protect you against possible enforcement action.

Please provide details of the address of the property and any evidence to show that it is an existing HMO.  Commonly submitted evidences include copies of tenancy agreements, council tax exemptions (where the property has been occupied by students) or HMO licences.

Details of what the HMO declaration process is, and why it is being undertaken, can be found on the Council website at www.nwleics.gov.uk/kegwortharticle4
