Local Plan Review Emerging Options Consultation

Closes 11 Jan 2019

Opened 12 Nov 2018

Overview

The North West Leicestershire Local Plan was adopted on 21 November 2017. It sets out a strategy for delivering the homes, jobs and infrastructure needed in the district between 2011 and 2031. The council is committed to reviewing the plan.

As part of this, we are now consulting on some emerging options.  Specifically this includes:

  • Making sure that we have sufficient land for housing
  • Making sure we have sufficient land for employment
  • Should we change the settlement hierarchy?
  • Where will new development go?
  • How can the review address issues relating to health and wellbeing?
  • How can the review consider the issue of self and custom build housing?
