Coalville's future - what will it look like?

Closed 30 Apr 2017

Opened 30 Mar 2017

This survey is for all of the young people (aged 10-24) in the Coalville area.

North West Leicestershire District Council (NWLDC) is working with people in Coalville to think about how we’d like to see the town improve in the future – and to put those ideas into action.

So far, the council has done lots of things (some you might not have noticed). Here are some of them:

  • Money to help businesses improve the front of their shops (have you seen Geoff’s Toys!?)
  • Helped to bring the Coalville Colour Run to the town
  • Helped the Century Theatre to bring the ballet to Coalville (on 19 May)
  • Given money to the owner of the Emporium to improve the building

Why We Are Consulting

The council has also asked us – the Hero Project – to work with communities across the town (especially young people) on projects that will benefit the whole community.

Together with the council, we’re asking...

What do you think about Coalville and what do you want to see in the future?

Think about what Coalville will look like in 10 years. How about 20 years? What important things need to happen? How will people speak about our town and what will we feel proud of?

This is your chance to have your say on what happens in our town and help shape its future.

What Happens Next

Thank you for completing our survey!

You now have entry to our free event on Wednesday 19 April, 2pm-7pm in the Market Hall, Coalville.

There will be free food and soft drinks, plus fun activities.

You can find out what other young people really want to see in Coalville! Leave your name and contact number in here so we can send you a text which gets you in on the day – you are welcome to bring a friend with you!
