Community Forum Budget 2012

[Closed on 30 June 2012]

Leicestershire County Council has made available funds across Leicestershire for local communities to invest in local improvement of their choice.

The Community Forum Budget is not a regular grants programme. A vital part of the Community Forum Budget process is that everyone has an opportunity to contribute, whether by submitting a project, making comments on proposals, volunteering to assist in the development or delivery of a project or by voting for your favourite projects.

To receive a share of the Community Forum Budget for your community projects, there are a number of steps you will need to take:

STEP 1: READ THE GUIDANCE NOTES FOR APPLICANTS
STEP 2: SUBMIT A PROJECT PROPOSAL FORM
STEP 3: PREPARE FOR THE COMMUNITY FORUM BUDGET DECISION NIGHT
STEP 4: TAKE PART IN THE COMMUNITY FORUM BUDGET DECISION NIGHT
STEP 5: LIAISE WITH COUNTY COUNCIL OFFICERS
STEP 6: DELIVER YOUR PROJECT

To find out more details about making a submission or view others that have submitted in your area please visit:

[Closed on 9 June 2013]
Hermitage and Hood Park Leisure Centres are currently looking to change their booking policy. We would like to change the policy so that when a booking is made payment is also taken.

Other local authorities within the County have already introduced this policy and this has significantly reduced the number of “no-shows” thus increasing space availability for other customers. This will also have a knock on affect for centre income as last year on fitness classes alone £9,500 of income was lost due to customers simply ‘ not showing up ‘ having booked a space.

If you had to cancel your booking greater than 24 hours before you were due to attend then you would be offered the choice of either moving your booking or having a credit applied to your account for use at a later date.
